dear colleague, dear friend,

The goal of our training is to make experts in medical physics in radiology. Take our opportunity to boost your career !

The EUTEMPE-RX consortium has successfully accomplished its 12 course modules a first time in 2015-2016, with financial support of the EC.  These course modules will now be repeated. High quality, interactive, small group teaching is aimed for. A substantial part of the material is made available online, using a Moodle e-learning platform, prior to a face-to-face part in the institution of the module leader.

Do you want to solve a problem with Monte Carlo solutions?  The EUTEMPE-RX teaching team will introduce you in the topic and help you create your solution.

Our Monte Carlo module makes you an expert in ‘Monte Carlo Simulations of X-ray Imaging and Dosimetry’.

Learn from the theoretical and practical experience of these expert teachers:
• Josep Sempau, Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain
• José M. Fernández-Varea, University of Barcelona, Spain
• Aldo Badano, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Washington, US
• Hilde Bosmans, KU Leuven, Belgium

Josep Sempau & José M Fernandez are authors of the PENELOPE software framework. Aldo Badano developed also MANTIS. Hilde Bosmans will share many practical applications of Monte Carlo that can be a source of inspiration for you. Learn more on the set-up and content of our course in the attached file.

The online part starts May 22, 2017. The face-to-face is planned from June 19 – 23, 2017. Special for the module on Monte Carlo is that the module leaders offer practical guidance with your emerging projects up to 4 weeks after the face-to-face part. This unique offer is an integral part of the course and allows a quick and practical start in your field of expertise. After having followed this module, several of our former participants could launch their own (research) applications.

You are very welcome too.  We use the first come, first served principle. This course module is intended for medical physicists in radiology or in medical device companies, or for PhD students in this domain.

Register on our website, www.EUTEMPE-net.eu or recommend your best students or co-workers to do so.

Register today and secure your place. Pay only when the target number of participants is reached.  You can also complete the attached enrolment form and send it to info@EUTEMPE-RX.eu

The EUTEMPE-RX project team applies for accreditation to the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (EFOMP) for all its course modules. We asked for 75 CPDs and, upon successful assessment, 150 CPDs.

We obviously welcome participants from all-over the world. International networking with peers in the domain is included in the total experience.

For your information:

Two vacancies have arisen in our Module on leadership in the profession. The online phase started November 1st. Face-to-face in the city center of Prague is scheduled for Feb 6-10, 2017. Decide today and contact our secretary at info@eutempe-rx.eu .

There are a 3 places left in the EUTEMPE-RX module: ‘Achieving Quality in Diagnostic and Screening Mammography ’. Module leaders are Ruben van Engen, Wouter Veldkamp and Ioannis Sechopoulos. Take the remaining opportunity and register now.  Deadline for registration is Dec 31, 2016. The online part starts January 15, 2017. Start of the module is confirmed.
There are 6 places left for the EUTEMPE-RX module: ‘Physical and Virtual Anthropomorphic Phantoms for Image Quality and Patient Dose Optimization’. This module is supported by the EC Horizon2020 MaxiMa project and will also introduce you to 3D printing, one of the booming applications in radiological imaging. The EC support allows us to offer this course module this year for a registration fee of 100 euro only. The team of Kristina Bliznakova would be very happy to welcome you in Varna (Bulgaria). Deadline for registration is March 15, 2017. The face-to-face part is from May 22 – 26, 2017.

With our kindest regards & don’t hesitate to contact us!
