The main train station in Gent is Gent-Sint-Pieters. From that station, the conference site is easily reachable either by tram (see below), or by taxi service which is available directly in front of the station.
From station Gent St-Pieters, use tram 1 (every 6 minutes) or tram 24 (every 20 minutes), and exit at Korenmarkt.
From Gent Zuid, take tram 4 (every 6 minutes), tram 24 (every 20 minutes) or bus 17 (every 30 minutes), and exit at Korenmarkt.
From the E17, take the "Gent Centrum" exit.
From the E40, from the motorway intersection in Zwijnaarde you first follow "Antwerpen" (E17) and then take the "Gent Centrum" exit.
The city centre of Ghent is a pedestrian area. Follow the P-route leading to the various car parks that give access to the city centre. The P7 Sint-Michiels parking is just opposite the entrance of the conference center. An alternative parking is P8 Ramen; from there it's about 5 minutes on foot to Het Pand.

General Scientific Meeting 2016 of the Belgian Physical Society
Welcome to the General Scientific Meeting 2016 of the Belgian Physical Society, which is hosted by the UGent. This conference brings together physicists in Belgium of different sectors and different scientific subdisciplines. A diverse program is offered including plenary talks, a young scientist oral presentation competition, and a best poster competition.
